A panel discussion at Tri-C's Metro Campus explored threats to the Voting Rights Act. The discussion was held in conjunction with the “Stokes: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future” Initiative.

Shenise Johnson-Thomas of the United Way of Greater Cleveland and U.S. Air Force veteran Tim Grealis visited the set of “We The People” at WKYC/Channel 3 to discuss an upcoming Stokes commemoration event designed to connect U.S. military veterans with community services. Mayor Stokes and Congressman Stokes both served in the U.S. Army.
