Road to Hope 2017
March 25, 2017
2-5 pm
Outhwaite Homes Community Center, 2452 East 46th Street (off Quincy), Cleveland, OH 44104
View short works of theatre, spoken word, music and dance that celebrate hope, honor Cleveland’s social justice heritage and engage with important issues of our time. ROAD TO HOPE will feature Outhwaite Home’s very own Brick City Theatre youth ensemble in their original play, “The Mayor, The Brother, The Grandmas and The Wise People of Outhwaite Homes,” inspired by the lives and legacy of Louis and Carl B. Stokes who grew up at Outhwaite Homes in the 1940’s. ROAD TO HOPE will be a vibrant celebration of community, hope, history and Cleveland’s connection to social justice issues of the past and present.
ROAD TO HOPE at OUTHWAITE HOMES is a free community arts event produced in conjunction with Cleveland Public Theatre’s fourth annual Station Hope celebration on April 29 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. No reservation required.
ROAD TO HOPE at OUTHWAITE HOMES is presented in a partnership with Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA).
