Stokes: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future represents an opportunity to celebrate Cleveland’s historic place in political and civil rights by bringing together organizations and people to extend current vibrancy and promote ongoing advancement of the city and its core communities for years to come.
With support from community partners, the Initiative will provide a lasting tribute to the historical accomplishments of the Stokes brothers, promote constructive dialogue related to social justice and equality, and inspire a new generation of leaders in our community who will continue the Stokes brothers’ legacy of leadership, advocacy and activism.
